Lancs Lad
On my patch I have bunnies from 10yds upto 50yds................Ive lead there watching ickle fluffy bunnies through the scope where I can almost touch em... I dont tend to stalk em, as I know where they are coming from...............My hunting is majorityly satic, ambush style. Head net, ghillie suit jacket, ghillie hat.........Bipoded harrier x2.........wind..Im yet to see a major difference... Ive had it blowing in all directions and still had them out. Fair enough, they tend to scatter when you first turn up on the patch......but about 15 mins later, they start to pop out......lie up, keep still, dont bang about and you should see em............ Im being picky at the moment,,,,leaving the youngsters.............but Im taking a buck or doe each time Im out........and thats only over an hour and a half worth of hunting time........... SNAKEBITE
try squealing them i dont know how to explaine this but here goes.... use one finger and place so it just toucing your lips then pucker your lips and suck at the same thime this should sound like a rabbit in disstress i got taught this from a very young age and works 90% of the time Is it possible to do this using a fox call? as I just bought one, and is intended to sound like a rabbit Last year I was told not to use a fox call for rabbits as it will only scare them away! When squeeked they look up to see what the fuss is about and indeed I have shot a few like that but never called them in with one! After all how many humans go running to someone shouting "Help danger soeone is about to eat me!"?
AndyCM
They often come out after a shower too - I've had a good few days that way, but you often get a soaking as you need to sit out the shower(s) first. Cheers AndyCM
