Browning Citori GTS Elite :D

Well after having my eye on a Cynergy for a while I walked into Malmo's today and browsed the other O/U's they had for sale

Yet again the GTS took my fancy as it did yesterday when I went in for a quick look and chat, according to them the Cynergy has a slight problem with the mechanism that can develop over time where the ejector pins work loose due to some stupid design flaw using tapered pins rather than rolled ones

Anyway, after a play around with it and finding that it fitted me perfectly and felt lovely and heavy with nice balance I decided to put down my £500 deposit leaving £950 to pay within the next 6 or so weeks

So I'm now effectively the proud owner of a new Browning O/U which means my quest is over and my cabinet is complete as far as I'm concerned as my Beretta will do fowl and clay leaving the GTS for game and clay if it pleases, plus as it steel proofed and 3" chambered I can use it for fowl too if need be

Rather chuffed with this latest purchase as it really is in excellent condition and half the price of a new one :D

lovely looking gun :good:

you want to keep an eye on the ends of your barrels where there is a few marks.....

try the finest grade of wire wool, rub lightly (wont harm the blueing) then oil, leaving a smear on,

i have an Ultra XS with similar marks.....

choke wise i find 1/4 1/4 does most clays apart from trap.

Thanks Shaun, is that to prevent any chance of rust ?

I've not got any 1/4's only;

1 x Imp cyl

2 x skeet

2 x 1/2

2 x 3/4

Currently have imp cyl in bottom barrel and 1/2 in top

Just keeps on top of it.

I use 1/2 & 3/4 for Trap as well...

so its 2 skeet for skeet ;)

IC & 1/2 for sporting

1/2 & 3/4 for trap....

that should get you going and will handle most targets
