natcot
A good friend of mine is leaving the army and needs to remove his shotgun from the armoury. His accommodation is rented and the landlord doesn’t want him to bolt a cabinet to the wall. The local FAO is happy for the gun to be out of sight and secured but not necessarily in a cabinet. I’ve had a quick look across the web and found various devices but would rather seek advice from the knowledge users here as what to recommend to him. The FAO mentioned using a cable to go through the trigger which is then secured to either the wall or floor! Any thoughts please
bi9johnny
keep it in someone else's cabinet...that's what my mate does
natcot
We thought of that, but I don't have a shotgun cert so I can only go in my cabinet so long as I don't have access to it, which would be impossible!

killer_pigeon
yes that may be a slight issue !! just bolt cabinet to wall inside a wardrobe. Landlord wont go rummaging through there, if he moves out he can polyfilla the holes up and just paint over. just make sure he drills to loud music I doubt you will be able to just use the cable trigger lock as somebody with bolt croppers could have it away in seconds. PLus if the landlord wont let you drill holes you are back at square 1 Point of a cabinet is to slow down or stop the theft of a weapon cheers
Cake444
That’s what I did with mine, bolted it inside a sliding wardrobe. FAO was happy and so was the landlord.
garden gun
How about breaking the gun and storing in various places. Wire lock action to something secure and out of sight.
Dr_evil
You need a secure cupboard and a trigger lock
