Cake444
I've had a 2 gun breakdown cabinet installed in my house for over a year now with no problems. The cabinet was cheap and it has a removable slide in door. without trying to sound ridiculous, It just looks so easy to break into, i cant imagine how it passed any kind of testing but it seemed to have by the statement below. Securely anchored to a solid wall / floor this Gun Safes Design and Manufacture conforms to and is in accordance with BS7558-1992, Home Office, Police and The British Shooting Sports Councils guidelines and recommendations for suitable secure Firearms storage cabinets. Here is the link to the safe - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-Breakdown-Gun-Shotgun-Cabinet-BS7558-Security-Safe-key-Lock-/250929692497?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item3a6c933f51 Has anybody got one of these safes? Thanks again, Mike
station
Well, I suppose you don't have to worry about it having anti-jemmy hinges Must be OK or ebay would have had complaints - you would think. If it does the job and suits your needs and budget, then go for it. Just remember - buying guns is infectious so my advice is always buy BIG ! It would make an afordable ammo safe for bulk buying cartridges. Good look anyway.

Dekers
I've had one of these for more years than I can remember, just the one lock. It was a pain the **** from day one breaking down the shotguns and it has been used as an ammo store for many many years now. Apparently mine does NOT meet current cabinet specification. The fact is a LOT of older cabinets do not. The law is not about having the right spec cabinet, it is about the SAFE storage of firearms. On the whole the police are happy to accept these today, nothing but space and money stopping you buying another cabinet if you are unhappy though. Cake444
I live in rented accommodation and the cabinet is hidden inside one of those built in wardrobes (the ones that are part of a wall). You have to shift all the clothes along to actually see it. I bolted it in with 16mm anchor bolts so it isn’t going anywhere. I really only went for a small cabinet because I rent and I can’t take a chance owning lots of guns as one day I may have to move. The next land lord may not be so understanding! Thanks for the advice everybody, have put my mind at rest.
