wigeon jim
Can anyone explain how to remove the bolt from a Franchi hunter semi auto, Jim.
Paul223
undo the stock fore end nut, slide the fore end off, pull the bolt back a touch and slide the barrel out, with a sharp tug pull the cocking finger tab out of the bolt, then slide the whole bolt / auto load assembly off the magazine tube / out of the action, if you still have problems let me know I'll do it in pictures for you. Any chance you could do it in Picts anyway ( I have one ) and I could never get that cleaned properly in there thanks

Paul223
Franchi hunter nut off fore end remove fore end hold the bolt back a touch and slide the barrel off and remove the o ring line up the finger cocking tab with the center of the hole and pull sharply and out it comes then slide the auto assembly and bolt out/off and the bolt lifts off the auto assembly re assemble in reverse, little bit of lining up to be done, plenty of bits that can be cleaned up! if you need to drop the trigger push the two pins out and the trigger group will pull down

wigeon jim
Just got the bolt out of mine, On the recoil ones you need to remove the stock from the recever and then unscrew the bolt spring tube to release the bolt spring, with the trigger removed slide the bolt forward and lift the rod on the rear of the bolt out through the trigger opening which will let the bolt slide back again and the bolt lever will come away, The biggest problem i had was getting the bolt spring back in the tube, i put a .22 cleaning rod though the tube and spring to stop the spring flying out, Jim.
