Paul223
if it's just shotguns and no rifles .... enter the guns onto your certificate (and store them in your cabinet), inform the police you now have them giving them all the usual details and add a covering letter, and ask the wife to write a letter explaining the situation and handing in the sgc ( you may want to pen the letter and just ask her to sign in)
Paul223
and the wife can apply for a temp certificate if it's going to take any real time, is there any reason why the transaction can not happen immediately (with in reason of course) give your feo a call and see what he says Edited November 26, 2011 by Paul223

Dekers
hi guys I hope this is in the right section,my stepfarther pased away last week & left his guns to myself his new wife is very keen to sort it out could someone tell me the correct process as to how this happpens, andy The Executors can apply for a temp certificate to hold ALL the guns, FAC as well in these circumstances (it is not uncommon), the EXECUTORS can make the decision to transfer the guns to anyone they see fit, or indeed to yourself if you have the appropriate paperwork, that is the correct process. It is not uncommon for close family to be executors so if it is his wife/you, away you go.
