Billy.
Never good, guessing the one on the left is the new one and the inverter or graphics card is screwed. I'm now 10 days into my Mac life and the PC still hasn't been turned on I'm now thinking about putting a 256GB SSD drive and some more RAM in this one rather buying a new one. Can anyone point me in the direction of an ISO of the Snow Leopard install DVD or let me know where I can get one from as my actual ones won't be here until the new year when a colleague brings them from the US for me. Cheers, Jon. For an SSD the one to go for is the OCZ Vertex 3 - it's a cracking bit of kit. The display on my new Mac has a horrible nicotine yellow screen. I've been over and over the screen calibration and no matter what, this yellow colour just seems to be there. I probably wouldn't notice it if I only had that Mac, but as I can run two side by side, it's really easy to spot. Anyway, a trip to the Apple store tomorrow should sort all of that out. You can pick up SL for about £15 I think. If you're after it by other means. There will be plenty of copies floating round on the Torrent sites. The good thing about the Apple Operating systems is that there's only one version. Everyone gets the best. No 'Ultimate' or 'Basic' versions. Even better is that they're only about £25. SL is a great OS. I'd highly recommend it. If you're spending loads on upgrading, I could always try to interest you in my old MBP?

Billy.
What a result. Took my off colour Mac to Apple and took my other one to compare. The guy tried to transfer my stettings profile from my old to the new and realised the track pad click wasn't responsive. He took it away for 5 minutes and fixed it. No charge (not bad considering the laptop is two years out of warranty) After this, realised there was a problem and issued me a new Mac
