PhilR
You might be able to tell for yourself. Look at the barrels near the proof marks and there's the internal barrel dimension stamped on each tube. If it's a '96 gun then the chances are it'll have a metric measurement of 18.4 for a standard tube, anything larger than that is likely to be overbored. OvEr_KiLL
ok when i open the gun, on the side of the bores at the top on the left side it says inv+ and below it 30''
killer_pigeon
yours is back bored if its teagued, not 100% sure if earlier mk38's were though. Just take off fore-end of your gun and stamped on left side of barrels near the action (which are normally hidden by foreend) should be 70-18.7 70 means its chambered for 70mm cartridges 18.7 means its back bored, any other number means its not back bored regards
timps
All invector+ (inv+) are back bored if its not back bored then its just Invector (inv). So if you have inv+ stamped on then is back bored.
OvEr_KiLL
thanx killer, just had a look man..cant see 70 but it says 18.8 on the side of each barrel..what do you reckon?not back bored?well i remember when i clean it when i put the rod down it seems to get tighter further it goes down the bore and its not the chokes because i take them out and it gets tighter about 1/4 - 1/2 the way down thanx timps, much appreciated :D
EdSolomons
yours is back bored if its teagued, not 100% sure if earlier mk38's were though. Hope that helps!
