This is a perfect example of my reasons for being sceptical about endless big cat sightings (apart from the fact that no one has ever shot, trapped, run over or convincingly photographed one that hasn't recently escaped from a zoo etc). How someone can see a wolf in a grainy image like this is beyond me. The best ID I would be willing to give is some kind of dog. A domestic mutt. Maybe if I'm feeling generous a German shepherd. Wolf? Only if that's what you want to see IMHO. I strongly suspect that the kind of people who look at this and see a wolf, are the same ones who claim to see panthers every time a black lab or big moggy crosses the road.
