bk
Howdy, giving my ol' 686S a clean after getting drenched this morning and the forcing cone is dark and matt. Is this the norm as its been ages since Ive given her a good clean and you would think Id remember after having it for 16 years
BerettaSV10
I am out and about, so can't check mine at the moment but could well be worth getting a chamber brush to give them a good clean.
Scully
I've seen very dark chambers on some shotguns, but these don't actually come into contact with the shot,so don't need to be polished to the same extent as the forcing cones and barrels. As far as I know, the cones should be shiny to minimise wear and aid cleaning. Schern
The forcing cones are matt on my 682. Different finish to the chambers and rest of barrel. Edited December 11, 2011 by Schern
