Actionpigeons
Well it can only get better, Male Goshawk had a accident on the 30 Dec had to put him down on the 1st Jan as he would never fly again as his left wing was just about severed. Took clients out on the 3rd of Jan with the Harris hawks, all was going well, hawks following on nicely as the Springer work below them. Seen the younger (3years old) of the two hawks plane off and put in at some thing. The older hawk followed on to join her (7 years old) but she was flying unsighted and landed at the top of some tall trees. The young hawk started to ladder up from the ground to join her flying companion. First to the top of an elderberry bush then to my horror to one of those electric boxes on the side of the wooded poles with the three cables feeding out from it. Yes you guessed it zap and down she came as dead as a nit. Well that’s the 3rd hawk I have had killed by electric in over 30 years flying hawks but it still p me off. on a good note a friend let me have his F Harris on a good deal for both of us, so its got to get better dont you think?. Hope there is no truth about bad luck coming in three's … Well at least the winds picked up so im going to shoot some pigeons tomorrow Edited January 3, 2012 by Actionpigeons
