Lamping fox - filter or not on the lamp

I use a red filter but I think some of the rabbits and the odd fox we don't get a shot off at are getting used to the colour, I am going to try unfiltered light and a dimmer which I have fitted to the roof of the truck.

To those saying red reduces shooting distances to 100yds I think you need to state on what sort of lamp, I agree with you regarding the LF170 but the lamp on my truck has a bigger reflector and a better bulb backed up with 14v+ when the engine is running.

I can see hundreds of yds hence getting a dimmer switch fitted ;)
