chunkyed
Does anyone know if my AYA Yoeman over and under will be proofed for 2 3/4" cartridges?
slated
Have a look on the under side of the barrels Should have something 12*70 or 12*65 If it's 70 then it's 2&3/4 65 is 2&1/
mpk
My yeoman is proofed for 2 3/4. As said take off the forend then look on the flat face of the action and you will either see 12-70 or 12-

Vince Green
You can never say never but I don't know of any 12 bore shotgun made since the 1920s that was 2 1/2" It was something that was done on a very small number of very lightwight best London and Birmingham side by sides for driven game shooting by well heeled elderly aristicratic types and genteel ladies. I did not know this, apart from that it's generally SxS that are 2 1/2" chambered rather than other types. If that's the case, then why do we have soooo many 2 1/2" game carts these days, and so few 2 3/4" ? I find this rather annoying because semi-autos cycle 2 3/4" very reliably, but 2 1/2" can be a bit hit and miss (so to speak). It just really cuts down on what you can choose from if you try to always buy 2 3/4" game carts.
