3-400 yrd scope

ok lads i know this probley been done to death but a friend is asking what scope he can get for his budget of £300.its to go on his 223 and he wants to shoot targets at the 3-400yrd range.he,s asking what scope can bring the target in nice and clear at this range,also something with target turrets ,he was thinking on maybe hawk endurance 30 any one used one of these for that distance.i cant advise him as i have never used such a scope so would like to ask any members whos into this range of shootingwhat youd recommend..

i use one of these and will be getting another for my 300 win mag its on a 270 and use it all times of the day and night i like it alot has a ballistic plex ret so you can use it out to 600yrds if you want just by using the dots on the cross hairs but you can dial in as well atb wayne .

Simple fact is my .223 T3 Lite delivered 8 V Bulls and 2 Bulls at 600 yards, from cold, in a pals hands, with a test load, and this sitting on the top of it...........

Nevertheless, if I was contemplating 3-400 yards shots on a regular basis, either target or field work, I would invest in something substantially better! I'm no scope snob, as many here know, but I would not be looking at anything that started Hawke.

 

But, it most certainly can be done on a much tighter budget than £300 as shown above!

 

Perhaps a used better scope?! :yes::good::good:
