Richie B
It's happened! after three long years of reading the mag's & watchin the vid's, the day that Farmer said would happen has arrived! W'eve spent the last month shooting the field at the bottom of his garden with steadily increasing results.Today he put me in the hot seat. Pigeons coming in from the start and continuing to do so all day. My shooting couldn't do justice to the generocity and kindness Phil has shown over the past three years. He has taken me from buying the gun through to a red letter day like today. He has always been patient and had time to explain the simplicities that now seem second nature but at the time quite daunting. I think that when we look at the decline in social standards in general in our newspapers etc., a lot about how to treat and teach could be learnt from people carring guns. We may not have shoot an awful lot today and the shot to kill ratio might not be brilliant, but it has been a fantastic day Thanks Phil PS Natures son " You missed the big one !!! what a day!!! farmer
Well Rich I'm a bit choked up now Yeah that was good wasn't it. I've e-mailed natures-son some pictures to put up mate. Sat under those trees all afternoon was just the job to keep us out of the sun. 55 in 4 hours aint too bad mate considering we've already shot over that field 3 times. it's knowing when to leave well alone and let the birds have a break for a while!!!! As you saw for yourself yesterday our self invited guest was just there for greed(that racks me off) he wanted to go last wednesday couldn't give a monkeys about who wanted to go this saturday or bothered by the fact that I had been watching the field for months(luckely I've got the shooting monopoly on the said farm) thats the first and last time he'll shoot there I can guarantee that. He asked once we'd finished would it be ok for him to set up this coming wednesday(it just dont sink in with some people does it ?) I think you all know the answer!!!! Glad you enjoyed it mate. All the best Phil.
