Dr_evil
Well the farm is only small at 140 acres but thats plenty for me, its overrun with crows, wood pigeon, doves and rabbits during summer alongside this deer and pheasant also pop up on the land Went out today for an hour and saw a lot of crows and a few rabbits but didn't manage to get a shot off as they were a bit out of range however it was real nice just to be out on a cold day trying for some live prey Hoping to get something on wednesday when I go back Out of question though what shells would you lot recommend for rough shooting ? Cranfield
28 or 30gms of No6 shot will cover just about everything you mentioned on your list (APART FROM THE DEER).

M.I.A
you will need at least 21g of no 8 for deer i wouldnt shoot at them past 700 yards though :yp: Really 28-32g of no 6 will do yo fine for rough shooting Edited January 14, 2012 by M.I.A
Dr_evil
We were thinking of setting up a hide and getting a couple of decoys and calls which ones would you say are best ? Gonna ask the farmer in a few months if he'd grant us rifle permission for the deer but for now shotguns and plenty of little animals are brilliant

dolphin
never really had the need to use callers just make sure they are feeding on the field you want to shoot for a couple of days half a dozen flocked crows will get you started just make a hide with plenty of cover behind you as well as in front keep still till very last second and you will be fine if you want a caller plenty on hear swear by primos power call atb dolphin
