rimfire4969
I have just got back for my shoot to find my spaniel has a cut well more of a skin flap. Its not bleeding and about 1cm long and wide and not deep, the skin flap is still there and i can fold it back into place but as she licks it it opens again. I have sprayed and cleaned it well and i think if it stayed in place it would heal no problems on its own. Any advice about how to keep it closed or to stop the dog licking it. al4x
you've done the right thing, only thing to stop it licking would be a buster collar might be worth seeing if anyone local has one. Otherwise just keep an eye on it if it doesn't start to heal and shows signs of infection then its the vets for some anti biotics
apache
Where is it? A child's T shirt works well to cover the trunk and upper legs.
