Cosd
As already said plenty of single barrel shotguns available. When you're ready put a wanted post up on the forum. Depending how cheap you want it for, I'd say even as a beginner try and get a double barrel shotgun. Loads of cheap of cheap ones about, maybe not sub £50 but I'm pretty sure you can get something for around £100 mark. Single shotties will limit you especially as a beginner when a second shot will come in handy. Cos
waitesy
I know you are just starting out and you are eager to get shooting and that cost is an issue. But take it from me, if you don't take your time, try different guns and pick one you feel confident with and then pay a 'reasonable' price for it. You will end up paying for a gun that will frustrate, annoy you, knock your confidence and it will end up sat in the cabinet. You will then be looking for another gun, 'if you are still interested in shooting by that time'. My advice to you would be go to a number of gun shops pick up the guns and see how they feel. Identify a gun in the right price bracket for you and if you have to wait a while until you can afford it the wait will be worth it.Many shops will let you try their guns especially those at shooting grounds. The old saying 'buy cheap, buy twice' is never more true than when buying guns guns/ rifles.

deershooter
storme37 you can pick up a good side by side for about £50- £90 Non Ejector (probably Spanish ) I would much sooner have one of them as you get the follow up shot it wont be pretty but should be sound and strong. Wabbitbosher normally sell these on here some times he has an advert with 6-8 for sale also ask at any local gunshops they normally have loads in the back but wont have them on show Happy Hunting Deershooter
