nabbers
Had an hour to kill tonight so I thought I would reload some 12G shells. First shell was tight in the crimping station and got stuck in the final stage, yanked up the handle and the rim was taken off the brass, leaving it well and truly stuck in the tube. I took the tube off the mec, it's the one that bevels the top of the shell, the shell was all the way in, thought about my options.....didn't want to do anything that would set off the primer! But basically had a primed grenade or pipe bomb in my hand. What would you do? I got it out but hated every second of it and it took 15 minutes.... Floating Chamber
scarey !!! Nah! Undo the locknut and slacken it off nearly all the way. Use another nut to lock it and then screw the rod into the finisher tube and the rod will push out the shell enough for you to put a Mole wrench on. sitsinhedges
Good technique! But I'm a Joiner not an engineer! Folding wedges or a sash cramp wont get you out of this one though I used mole grips once but it was scary :o
