am just after peoples views on the deluxe kit is it worth buying does it do the job i have been using an oil stone or steel up until now , its mainly for cutting a stick gutting rabbits gralloching deer taking a foxs brush so a wide variety am just after some info sensible replies please many thanks rob :good:

Ive got the standard kit and it does a great job, I would like a finer stone but i think that comes with the deluxe (mine kit only has 3 stones). As Blackla says make sure you write down what angle you have sharpened to. I always find i've forgotten the angle by the time the knife needs sharpening again.

I have one and highly recommend it.

I've got the standard one with 3 stones (didn't want to spend extra on the deluxe set) and have found you can get a very good edge, though it would be nice to have an extra fine stone it's probably not essential. You can buy the extra fine stone by itself if you buy the standard set then change your mind in the future.
