Harryrab
Exactly what it says on the tin....is it worth paying the extra for VP on a lightforce 170! thinking of buying one, but not wanting to waste money! Harryrab

activeviii
2 reasons the a dimmer works for me. one is that i have lamp shy foxes on the land from dog men. as soon as hit with light they run, with a red filter and very low lamp i have more chance of getting a cross hair on them. other reason is you can dim the lamp and use less power out the battery. longer lamping time or a lighter battery for shorter walkarounds. cooter
Main advantage I found for the dimmer is when using the lamp near houses, the lower output avoids disturbing the residents and i can still turn it up once I find a target. Bowen20
I have it on my 170 and 240 and couldnt be without it it's a very handy feature to have. Fair enough I dont use it all the time but most of the time yeah and I'd say it's helped me put down more shy foxes and even fioxes that aren't shy stil don't like a bright light in their face or on their feet . Like they say I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it .!!!!! For the extra £££ why not !
