mossy835
would a motor bike battery be good enough for a rotor.
plexer
If it's 12v and a high enough rating which should be on the side of it in AH - Amp Hours, 17 is a good figure. Ben
old rooster
I've used one but if it is a conventional wet cell battery mind you don't spill the contents of the battery. I've done that and now have a kit bag with the bottom rotted out of it :-) Gel batteries are better but be warned !!! if you let them totally discharge you can't get them back like the old lead acid types. Could always put it on an "Optimate" bike charger, all my bikes are fitted with these and the batteries, lead acid and gel seem to hold up well over winter. My mate has just given me a couple of deep discharge backup batteries, 12v 24ah which is fine for the times I can drive up to the hide but a bit heavy to carry too far. Have a look in Maplins (no not the holiday camp !) I've bought a few batteries from them at reasonable prices, also some good deals advertised on fleabay at times.
