richg
My friend and i had our first foray out with the decoys today since the end of the game season, had a drive round a local estate yesterday and found that one maize strip had been chopped the day before it snowed, so it had been covered for a few days and pigeons had just found it, got the ok from the keeper and we went this morning. It was a bit slow to start with as we only had plastic deeks but as soon as we got a few birds down and the rotary out they came in well, we take it in turns to shoot, shooting four or five each then swop over, we find this system works well and is great fun as well as being very safe.It is a large estate with a lot of pigeons about and with another 15 strips to chop in the coming weeks we look forward to more sport.
