Help the future of our Country Sports.

"PASS IT ON" is a voluntary organisation that is setting up events all around the country to recruit if you like youngsters into the world of Field Sports.

It gives the youngsters a new direction in life, a new future and hopefully a better life as well as look after the countryside.

At their events they show the kids how to Shoot/Fish/Hunt/Ferret/Falconry/Archery and a whole lot more.

Sooner or later there will be an event near you for sure. So if you can help out in any way with the day or the organisation please contact the email address below or contact COACH by Private Message. There is also a membership recruitment drive which anyone can join.

It has the backing of local councils and the Avon and Somerset Constabulary who are very keen to help.

As it's a purely voluntary organisation they are short of money so need donations to help running cost's. Please donate as it's all our futures in the hands of these wonderful people as we need more youngsters to do field sports to keep them alive. That's both your children and your grand children who could be doing what we all love doing today... in the future.

The "PASS IT ON" web site is under construction at the moment so look out for it in very near future.

Help me understand where they are so different to the BASC, CA etc, etc, I thought they were about the countryside and promoting it to the next generation, what is this lots USP.....do we really need another organisation to water down yet again the voice of shooting/the countryside?

I don't think we will get many grass roots young shooters at £150.00! unless I have read it wrongly. Basc have a Kids shoot for free scheme with a paying adult, at numerous grounds around the country, I am not sure if the CPSA are part of this scheme, or have a similar scheme. Surely that is the way to go.

Oddjob from this forum has 40 youngsters at his school who all now shoot on a regular basis, many had never shot before, and huffhuff does something similar at the school where he is employed.

Through hard work and persistance oddjob he has obtained support deals , from clothing and cartridge companies to eas the burden on the youngsters and there parents.

I think we should all do something to help keep the sport alive, but at £150.00 this seems a bit elitist.

The simulated shoot is a fundraiser to pay for other days for kids, as it says in Rob's post.

Pass it on have already run a number of very successful days for youngsters, giving them an introduction to ferreting, falconry, shooting and dog training etc...for absolutely zip, nish, nada.

They aren't watering down anything, BASC and the CA do a lot of campaigning and do run days but they can be quite pricey.
