Depends what you mean by "in bits" :hmm:

Basically, it's easy. 2 wires from the bulb holder, 1 which goes direct to the power supply, the other, via the on/off switch. This is for non dimmable lamps, as it's advertised as not to reverse polarity if using a dimmer, why? Don't know, but as a ex electromechanical engineer, I know nowt nowadays

Had some good drinking times in Goole, years ago :D

Reason for edit

Ah, now seen pics . No problem. As as stated above :good: , if not confident with soldering and sleeving, use car bullet connectors

draw one then, so he can get the lamp fixed and get out shooting. :good:

Ain't got a drawing prog on my comp  Gonna have to get that sorted

The only difference is from your diagram, that one of the leads from the bulb connector, goes directly to the power supply (not both to the switch), the other, via the switch. As no dimmer, polarity is not a problem.

Try this, best I can do at the moment.

/ ---------------Switch-----------Power(either + or - )

Bulb

\ ----------------------------------Power(The one you have left, + or -)

you will need,

soldering iron.

solder.

wire cutters/strippers.

rivet and rivet gun.

heat shrink or electrical take. (heat shrink is better)

10" of wire.

1 zip tie

1, Put switch into its hole and tighten into place.

2, take one wire from switch, any wire and push up the lamp housing and out where the bulb holder sits.

3, solder the wire from switch to one of the bulb wires. (cover bear soldered wires with tape or heat shrink)

4, solder 10" of wire to 2nd wire from the bulb, (cover soldered area with tape or heat shrink)

5, thread the curly wire from the battery, in throw the red base plug of handle.

6, solder (-)wire from the curly lead to the other end on the 10" wire. (tape or heat shrink soldered area)

7, solder the other wire of the curly lead (+)to the one wire thats left on the switch. (tape of heat shrink solder area)

8, zip tie the curly wire on the inside of red plug to stop it pulling out.

9, put bulb holder into handle and pop rivet in place.

Origional lightforce wiring is the other way round. The switch breaks the negative wire not the positive wire. If you want to switch the posotive wire you will need to use a much stronger switch than a standard lightforce one. :good:
