camaroneil
hi, i understand it's against the law to shoot a sleeping bird, trouble is, we have 2 problem pigeons at school and pretty much the only safe/suitable time to shoot them would be at 6am in the morning, they are feral and making a huge mess right above where the kids come into school, does the general licence give permission to shoot under these circumstances? the head wants me to get rid of them asap, but i can't do it until around 9pm as the school is occupied till then most evenings, head really wants me to get them when i open up at 6am as no one else is on site till 7pm, any thoughts/advice, neil Edited February 21, 2012 by camaroneil
cooter
If they are ferral pigeon you can shoot them at night. Woodies are not allowed to be shot after dark so dusk/dawn is your best bet.

bunny_blaster
Im pretty sure you can shoot woodies at night, just not with artifical light. John Darling shot pigeons in his videos against moonlight with his air rifle. Spotting the silohettes against the bright sky.
