beesley121
Hi guys, As the wildfowling season is over, Ive decided to spruce up a 8 bore greylag I bought a few months back starting with the stock. Im going to post up pic's of the whole process but before i do this, I need to figure out how to remove the stock from the action ive remove the recoil pad but the is no bolt that secures the action to the stock like my beretta. Does anyone know how to do this?? Edited February 25, 2012 by beesley121

welshwarrior
Most sbs have screws under the trigger Gaurd and or top lever hope that helps make sure you use the right turn screw or you ruin the screw heads
Hector Vector
Assuming it's similar to most other boxlocks it should come apart something like this: 1. Remove the trigger guard screw(s) (pic 1). 2. Unscrew and remove the trigger guard (pic 2). 3. Remove the pin from the wrist (pic 3). 4. Take the screw out from under the top lever (pic 4). 5. Remove the screws from the bottom of the action (pics 5 & 6). If there's a floor plate, tap that out from above through the slots in the action flats. 6. Ease the woodwork clear of the action. 7. You should now end up with something like that in pic 7. Make sure that you use proper screwdrivers ("Turnscrews") or you'll risk chewing up the heads of the screws or slipping and taking chunks out of the stock or action. If something won't move, don't use undue force. These screws can be very tight. Your gun may not be identical to the one illustrated but it should be near enough. Have fun!!!!
