pigeon floater bouncer type thing.

People have probably already done this, its pretty straight forward and pretty self explanatory.

used one of those blue camping mats and cut out some wing shapes, and a tail shapes,

mixed up some acrylic and painted them, used correction fluid to do the white as its far bighter than my acrylic white, copyed the colours/pattern from images online, make sure you paint the bottom aswell.

cut a slit in the tail of an old faded decoy, and slid the tail in ,pressure keeps it pretty tight in place.

cut a rectangle about 2cm by the width of the wings down the decoys "spine" (where the spine would be on a pigeon)

fold the wings in half, then slidethem 2cm into the gap, put a grey painted pencil into the gap so it is inside the decoy, so it traps the center of the wings onto the decoy, it allows the wings to move allot in the wind.

Havent used it in the field yet, however i have used it in the garden with other deeks and had allot of visitors in the tree's cooing away.

Just an idea.

pictures comeing if there is any interest.

EDIT - i mounted it on one of those carbon fiber tent poles about ten or twelve foot in the air, moved around a fair bit.

We want piccy's  sounds a good job, wings may possibly fold in a strong wind though as the foam ones do that are retailed, something like the hypaflap carbon rod as a heavy wind day addition maybe needed, or the even cheaper keebab stick.

Just know your dying to try it in the field

Good job :good:

About to take some pictures of some bikes i have for sale in the next few days, ( other sales section ) will stick it up in the garden and take some pictures then, cannot really walk at the moment though as im about to have my toenails pulled, ill have to find something to stick it up on because i cannot remember where the camping stuff is.

As for the wings folding, yes that was my initial problem with it, the camping matt stuff is very thin and doesnt hold shape well, just used some old bike wheel spokes duct taped to the bottoms and bent into shape, however you could use some kind of wire to the same effect i suppose.

Its always going to be a home made decoy and therefore probably not as good as a bought one, but i wasnt up for spending anymoney on something i thought i could nock together, I will also update you when ive used it in the field, either unsucessfully or sucessfully, wouldnt be able to tell either way as pigeons arnt really playing the game round here at the moment.

All DIY stuff has a value , if it doesnt work you learn from it, if it does work and it pulls the birds in you learn how to jump up and down and dance at the same time :)

Looks all set and ready for a field test let us know how it goes.

Good luck with the toe nail pulling

Not sure if its something Ive missed in life but think I will stick with normal sex.
