il cacciatore
Im saving up for the Walther G22. Heard the spongy trigger can be sorted by replacing the rod trigger link with a harder stainless steel item and the scope rail can be accurasized by fitting a correctional peice issued by walther - It was a problem that the trigger rail keeps shifting the zero. Its supposed to cycle winchester subs well and is accurate as any other .22lr when you get used to the trigger but like I say the trigger can be improved apon. Also, its threaded specifically for the Walther moderator but there is a converter available. Am I doing the right thing? TBH I like the bullpup design idea, as far as Im aware there arent that many bullpups around by other manufacturers? ps. Its about 3 weeks until I get my certificate, not going to put a deposit down until I find out what the general consensus is.
Claytons Guns
From what i've read, some people like them and some people hate them, Myself i went for the Ruger 10/22 with the bulpup stock, Very short, accurate and when you get board with it, just change the stock and you've got a new rifle. If you dont know what the ruger bulpup looks like, take a look at the front page of this site Ruger Bulpup Hope this helps Steve

I would be using it only for vermin, not targets.
browningstalker10g
the ruger is the best idea as you can fully change the stock etc and as said have a new rifle, but i being a fool went for the remington 597 witch i thinks is a cracking gun but obviously dosent have the same range of bits and pieces as the ruger, i must say the walther did tempt me but i felt id look a tad daft with uch a military looking rifle just for rabits,
the last engineer
shame you cant run one of these, cheap too in 9mm http://www.wolverinesupplies.com/storm.htm tends to turn you into some kind of rambo though
il cacciatore
Designed to meet the needs of law enforcement, the new CX4 Storm is also excellent for sport and home defense I wish I lived in Canada.
Baldrick
If you're after a compact vermin-only .22, why don't you buy an Anschutz or another bolt-action? Can those Walthers handle the wear and tear of being used solely in the field? Just my tuppence worth.....
il cacciatore
Yeh that is the main problem. I have seen a nice little Anchutz with shortened barrel screw cut for a moderator on sale. Might go and put a desposit down on it.
Baldrick
An Anschutz (left-hand, thumbhole stock, silencer) is next on my list. My grandfather uses one, and swears by it. And they're pretty robust guns. Very little to go wrong.

il cacciatore
I've already been giving it some serious thought. Got some relatives living there already in Ontario & Alberta. I've got one more year of uni to do then hopefully ill get the Building Surveying honours. If I do then I can go chartered within 3-4 years after. If I dont pass then I can still get technical compentancy in building surveying which isnt chartered but nearly. Though, I believe this will give me some decent points in the canadian immigration system. 67 for a pass. I've already done a rough calculation and believe I wouldnt have too much trouble getting in. Just seems to me that Canada has a great reputation for lifestyle. Not to mention that property prices are really cheap, ice hockey (which is a pretty insignificant reason on the scale of things)is a followed sport (which I love) and they actually get some decent hot weather in the summer (in places) among many many other plus points that Canada has to offer. But on the down side its freezing in the winter. oh well. not long now.
