im having an off day, now im shooting with some 50g bb lyalvales and im using a fairly tight choke, with certain types of steel shot chokage matters but i shudnt need to worry about it with bb? am i right or am i loosing it??

hello being curse with two left feet i took a tumble down a large slippery slope and managed to lob my escort through the air like a rugby ball and of all the places it could of landed it laned on the only large rocks in a six acre field f#$%ing up the stock, and im having trouble sourcing a synthetic replace ment stock and forend, any one selling one or any sugestions were to try, ive tried the distrubutor but they havent repplyed yet??!!??

we were all newbie once, i found this place kept me sane in the fat months when i hurt my leg and used to eat nd not do much shooting, but now some 8 stone lighter and much thiner pest controller i have managed to get back out there and secure new contracts from farmers that before had been not to keen on me....maybe it was my fatness??

never a truer word said, most of my shotguns i use on a daily basis only cost a few hundred pounds........need i say more haha

on the subject or camoflaged men in balaclavas with military looking rifles and shotguns at large in the wood.....................welcome to my world, the police have been called twice in the last 5 months, i now leave my mobile number in my car in clear sight so when the plod turn up they can ring me so i can come out with my hand up and not get popped by a trigger happy firearms officer! on the last call out i was using a saiga 12 with 5 shell mag (on my firearms cert) and i must of looked like something out of kosovo!

the best shotgun you can buy is a mossberg maverick 88, haha, its the best for general pest control as a cab gun, or gun the you dont mind banging about and putting on a rack in your pickup during a working day also on an after though dont buy mailorder, try and support your local gun shop, be patient and see if they can order in the gun for you, it takes longer but it helps you build a good bond with them and then the more of a freindly rapore you build up the more doors it may open to you!! and by mail order i dont mean literal mailorder you know what im refering to!

ever hard of your saftey? a rifle is loaded when u scan the horizon for eyes so a shotgun is no more or less dangerous well a rifle if anythings a tad more so, the down side is that when shooting a botling rabbit the rabit will usualy be out of the light as the light will be ahead of the rabit as the beam on the mounted lights arent that wide, your better of with a mate using a larger lamp, makes for a more enjoyable shoot having abit of friendly competition and so on

i use mine daily as a i have to walk along way through woods and overgrown muddy tracks and general devon farm messyness during my pest controlling dutties and ive had no problems but ive had problems with guns cotsting 3 or 4 times more, 10 out of 10, like the browningstalker!

lets clear some facts up, your just as likely to get stabed or shot being armed or unarmed, a friend of mine, train home from uni, glances at a guy arguing with a girl, the guy stabs him for no reason was he armed no, was he a threat no, he was killed for glancing at someone making a scene, we should be allowed to own hand guns, im not so sure about concealment, and if we were allowed handguns then the vetting period and standard must be rigorous, and i think the people who want handguns shoul pay more for there liscences so the police cant say the extra checks would cost tax payers money, also anyone with a criminal record wouldnt be able to get one, the current laws stop alot of the unstable legaly getting hold of guns, why would seth armstrong no previous criminal convictions, no run ins with the law, happy loving father of 2 and grandfather of 4,so why would he suddenly shoot someone during a road rage event just because he has a handgun? having a gun wont make people sudenly become postal, but lets just say billy braggin wannab gangster, career criminal, has a knife in his glove box, old seth hits his car, billy gets out and harrases seth with a knife, seth fears for his life in his car, if he had a gun producing the gun and pointing it at billy should make him back off, if not seth fears for his life, seth pops one in him, there u have one dead or ingured scum bag criminal no loss to anyone as apposed to one dead law abiding loving father and grandfather, would that be a better result, yes i think it would, and it would take the strain off of the over crowded prison system, the criminals, the ones are laws stop owning gun, well shock horror, they can get hold of lots of gun as easy as we can order a take away, were theres a will theres away, there are certain people in this country who arent violent gang members but wouldnt be able to get a gun now legaly, so why wud they be able to get a handgun if they were legal, if hand guns were legal and there was a proper system of checking out applicants thoroughly it would be people like u and i owning them, not dtom **** and harry!

i respect what ur saying all very intelligent and above my bumpkin head, but when an anti spits in your face and trys to pull a good friend off her large hunt horse i for one arent going to turn the other cheek, they'd get a smack in the face and the hidin of the life! i dont belive in religion, its the biggest killer ever, yet its everyones right to worship what they like, and generalising all religious folks as antis and vise versa is wrong, my favourite type of anti, and oh yes i have one, is the outspoken violent anti who eats macdonalds big mac and buys cheap meat from lidl or aldi, they are happy to wine about me shooting rabbits and fox's whos lifes up untill that point had bbeen lovely, but its ok to eat meats that they have no idea were it came from, abroad most likely, and have no idea how well tgreated and ''HAPPY'' the cow was, id love to be able to view there thoughts like a reality tv show, would make intresting viewing, intrestingly, in the small village i come from, there are alot of pubs, for the size of the place having 4 pubs seems daft, but at my preffered local is a quaint local pub, in villages u get the rebelling bored tenager goth types who mope around in there mums eye makeup and listen to slipknot, often there is a gaggle of these fine fellows sat in the corner of the pub, most of them are very anti, and basicaly like to buck the system, i was having a lound convo with a an ''old poacher type'' sorta the local seth armstrong, i was talking bout a few foxes i shot recently aand other general stuff todo with hunting, they overheard and started shouting at me and yelling how i was evil etc etc etc, so what does the landlord do, he gets me a pint on the house for services to local pest control, and asks them to leave!

at the end of the day most but the crazy criminals would think twice about mugging or robbing people when theres a chance the could be packing a hand cannon or 2, RELEGALISE handguns!!!

my old mans been a armed response police officer for nearly 20 years, back in the day he recived many comendations for arresting dangerous criminals during violent strugles were he had to fight to controll the suspects, back in the day of the plymouht football hooligans such as the tce and other gangs etc and insome cases narrowly avoid death, but now he says his hands are tied to police like he did back then now he would be kicked off the force, now it takes 6 officers to arrest on drunk guy beacuse if they harm a hair on his ****** head they get threatened with legal action and the police complaint people, this countrys going to the dogs!

unti the day a ******* cow learns how to make a suspension bridge and learns how to fly and build aeroplanes i will continue to eat meet and hunt, i respect the right ofr an animal to not suffer but animal rights i daft, saying that all animals are equal to man, survival of the fitest is what nature teaches, and the fact i can go out and hunt in many form of hunting means im more adapted than say a rabbit to survive therefore like a lion would do to a gazzele i can eat the rabbit! its how nature intended it to be!

rifles have to be used on cleared land due to saftey and ballistics, as shotguns are totaly different they do not impose restrictions on land, once you have proven the need for a high capacity shotgun you can buy asmany as you like and use them on land you have permision on to shoot, i dont know though if clay clubs would let u use on on there premisis and i belive its agaist the law to use one on flying pests! as mine is only for rabbits and foxes

if you apply for the variation of large capacity shotgun on the grounds of pest control aslong as u have proof u need it you shouldnt have to much problem, that rabbit cathcer ed thingy who rights in a shooting mag i forget witch one has a full capacity semi auto small gauge shotgun for use as pest control! if he cfan get one as a pest controller so should anyone else that does lots of proven work as a controler also i have a Saiga-12K "Tactika-3" witch has a detachable magazine witch hold 8 shots, has a flash supressor etc, as i have the variation permiting me to have a shotgun with full capacity witch is to be used for pest controll as sometimes 3 shots isnt enought when ambushing hordes of unsuspecting bunnies, after all they wouldnt sell these things in the uk if it was imposiable to get them, it all comes down to wether u have a genuine need for them, in this country u cant have pretty guns on a mere whim!

wanna bet, the land i cover is vast we can hit more areas driving abour with shotguns than creeping round with rifles

never been lamping with a shotgun? lampin comes in many forms, u can lye up and wait with a lamp mounted on a scope for example, u can drive round in a 4x4 with a rifle or a shotgun, u can walk round with rifle or shotgun and a lamp operater, yes a shotguns louder but i honestly have to say down were i shoot i probably get more by burning around in a 4x4 with a shotgun than i wud creeping round with a rifle, after all you can take more rabbits on the run!

each to there own, i personaly wasnt convinced, but thats fussy assed me, i prefer they team approach when possiable or when alone just use night vision if u have it!!

get a shotgun like my nikel coated remington 870 marine magnum and a decent waterproof cammo suit such as my deerhunter ram and a dood drover style hat and brave the rain aslong as u strip the gun and clean and dry it properly there will be no damage
