blowin
I'm off to Cumbria next week for a holiday. We're staying over on the coast near Millom and I'd like to try and get a morning out clay shooting. Does anyone know anywhere nearby I might be able to turn up and shoot? I've looked on Google and apart from a couple of 'corporate day' pound-a-shot type places the only option seems to be Crabtree Clay shoot – which looks nice but is miles away back over the other side of the M6! Any help gratefully received. Cheers.
Peathag
Duddon Valley Gun Club, meeting every Sunday Morning at the secluded Angerton Hall Farm, near Kirkby in Furness - usually lay on a 50 bird sporting, cartridges, tea and coffee available. Just over the estuary from millom.

enumber
Green quarries nine miles southwest of Carlilse. Quite a drive from where you are though. £60 for 100 clays of simulated game shooting. I was initially put off but the price but Pete comes round with you and provides instruction. The targets are really unique, the simulated partridge flush is great fun and the high tower really is high! My high bird shooting improved massively after my last visit.
