Topgunners
I have been struggling as of late to find pigeons in any numbers, but had a phone call from a farmer saying he was having trouble from a mob of jackdaws, rooks and pigeons. They were nipping the tops of some corn that was just showing through. I went along the same afternoon and spotted about 150-200 dotted about all over 2 fields. I set up with my back to a spinneyand had some lovely, steady sport up, until about 5.30pm and then deadsville. i picked up 38 blackies and 13 pigeons. Good day in the nice warm sunshine. AND for all you traditionalists - NO SHIRT, NO HAT(too hot) and didn't spook any. Just goes to show.
