Moors Man
Hi Everyone Does anyone have any ideas, the central locking on my Disco has stopped working both on the remote and when you use the key. The alarm activates OK and will switch off via the remote so its not remote itself. :hmm:
Chr15j
If its a 200 or 300 then I bei its because the mechanism is knackered - this happened on my old 300 - its a rubber band like bit that fails - should be an easy fix (i used a rubber band and it worked - survived longer than the engine anyway)

fruitloop
is the fuseable links ok under the bonnet. as thay tend to corode there in the harness next to where the drivers foot well is.well thay are on the 200 and 300 tdi as i had the same falt with mine some years ago had the auto spark tell me it was the cental locking ecu and it needs pluging in to a laptop and he was willing to do it for £100 +parts. luckly i had a job working at a landrover delers puting up a new showroom and got nattering to the head enginere and he helped me out i told him the syimptoms and that was his reply so testerd the bits and fixed the problem for £1 in solder Edited April 5, 2012 by fruitloop
Sco77w
It could also be the central locking actuators which is a common problem on these, both my back ones have packed up. I could be wrong but someone on the D2 boysclub site will point you in the right direction. Theres also guys on there with the diagnostic tools for all the other DII problems. http://www.thed2boysclub.co.uk/forums/index.php
