rabbit_stu
After having a **** time with my first shotgun that's now gone back, I spent some time in gun shop yesterday picking up guns and finding what fits. There is a really good condition silma 30" 1/4 1/2 choked supreme. It got a nice palm swell too and fits well. It's £650 so a little more than I had hoped to spend, but I want to buy right, buy once this time around. Your opinions please....
955i
I picked up one in real nice condition for £350. Probably a bit older than the one you are looking at, but worth getting an older one for that kind of saving IMO
rabbit_stu
This is my problem, the only examples i can find online are all around £3-400 so really not sure what to do tbh. Im definatly not buying online again so its a matter of shopping around the limited shops near by, and hoping the advice offered is genuine, thanks for reply. johnny
They are nice guns I had one s few years ago I'd say 650 is plenty for one like said before 300-400 for a really nice one tops. There's loads of good guns for 650 around so dint be to hasty. Cheers john
BlaserF3
My honest advice is to save another £200 or so and buy a s/hand Beretta/Browning/Miroku I had a Silma years ago and compared to the three that I mentioned, the difference is like chalk and cheese. The Silma is not in the same league as far as quality goes.

I am genuinely interested in what makes it so bad that you would suggest spending more. Are the parts prone to failure?

I am genuinely interested in what makes it so bad that you would suggest spending more. Are the parts prone to failure? The early cheap multichoke guns produced did not always shoot straight as the chokes were not always concentric to the barrel. If you wonder why you are missing with one, shoot at a plate and see if the patterns overlap. If not get rid of it. Probably wont misfire, but trigger pulls tend to be heavy, useable for what, to shoot well, that depends on who's shooting it and what they are using it for. If you have not owned and shot a gun made from better materials you will not realise how bad some guns are in comparison to others. Mine failed to fire as the sears did not engage every time. To be honest I would term one a Fence Post nowadays.

Cheers, have had it a couple of months now but yet to find time to get out with it Had a Winchester Select Sporting before this and loved it but had to sell when the mortgage was due after the missus moved out. Will post how I get on with it (if I get a chance)
brett1985
not sure how ive only just managed to come across this thread, lol. i own a supreme deluxe multichoke which was bought off a member on here and ive not had one ounce of prolems with it. and its not as if i dnt use it either, ive probably put over a 1000 carts through it in the last 5 months.... the fact is, if the gun fits and shoots comfortably, why spend more on a gun with a name? i definately wouldnt be using it as a fence post anytime soon.... infact, i prefer it to my dads berreta white onyx... brett
