Dunkield
OK I will be the first to admit I don't really like having a mod stuck on the end of my centrefire but . . . I was at the range Saturday and for the second time in as many months I met an ASE Utra user who absolutely swears by them. This guy currently has T8's on his other guns and is getting them all swapped over for ASE's, exactly the as the ASE user I spoke to a month or so ago. They don't reflex back over the barrel, so they do add a bit of length but they are tiny, and light, AND they silence well. The 3 guns I have heard them on were 270, 308 and 7/08 - so not exactly quiet calibres. I have a horrible feeling they are very expensive, but that aside, they could just cancel out all the reasons I don't much like moderators. Does anyone own one, or have any experience of them? If not, who is going to be first? http://aseutra.fi/english/index.html And I don't work for them BTW
hawkeye
I have one on my HMR and that is a better moderator than others i have tried, dont know what it would be like on a centrefire thought.

CharlieT
The £70 one is a .17/.22 job and I must add first rate. The cf. ones are more expensive than the t4/t8 reflex but for the life of me I can't remember how much.
Dunkield
Thanks both, I have feeling the CF ones will be £300 region, but I will find out. It seems too much of a coincidence that both owners were of the 'well heeled' variety EDIT: Just spoke to Jacksons, the AU CQB which would fit my .223 is £280 rrp.
