Gents I'm after joining a new club this year, and I would like some suggestions based on your experiences. I'm currently living near Doncaster and would like to join a club closer to home but I don't know the area well enough to venture out on my own so ideally wanting to join a club which one of you guys are members of so I could pick your brain on the local area, tides etc if anybody has any suggestions let me know. I was considering south lincs wildfowlers, any of the members on here fancy letting me know a bit about it?? Their thoughts on the club the area they shoot over and possibly babysitting me for a few outings till I get more familiar with the area?

Cheers

Paul

Eyup Fuzzy how's it going fella?. Right I would have said that Thorne and District were probably your closest and the club sec Snowy seems a reasonable chap who'd be able to sort you out.

I'm member of HERWA and shoot the north bank of the Humber and I'd be happy to have you tag along mate, the club also does a season permit to non members for the Sunk Island stretch at very reasonable cost, a quick PM to Scolopax on here will get you sorted.

There are a number of clubs that have shooting on the Humber most of which Scolopax has already told you about in a previous post.

Other than that there's the Wash clubs which is where I believe South Lincs have their shooting, I know Washwildfowler and Harrycatcat1 with his little dog Pingpong are avid visitors there and they would be able to give you more details.

Have a look on here mate http://www.slwc.co.uk/ if you have any questions "fire away" on here or pm :good:

I am sure wash wildfowler would take you out a couple of times and you could come out with me if you can put up with the dog :D

edited to say I have just looked at the map and you are probably a lot nearer for a club around the Humber, your shout really, you would still be welcome :good:
