30-6
When i've commented in slow cooker questions before, i always have said as per instructions to warm (pre-heat) the empty cooker before adding hot water then ingredients. Recently had to change our cooker as the switch came loose but was still working. Because (apart from the wobbly switch) it cooked so well, got another same make same everything, but on this one instructions says not to pre-heat while empty, cook from cold. Don't understand why the rules have changed.
derbyduck
the reason is because if you pre-heat the cooker empty the switch becomes loose and wobbly ! I hope this helps to clear up your understanding of the rule change ..if I can help in any way in the future please don't hesitate in getting intouch .
