Paddy Galore!
just converted mine to run on lithium polymer batts, about the size of a pack of ciggies, weigh about 2oz so strapped to the gun, only 3.3ah but i now have 3, @£30 each they're still cheaper than the deben lithium batteries. and the incar charger kit was a bonus as it only takes a couple of hours to charge up, or only an hour at home. Paddy Galore!
Where did you buy them? local model shop, they're for r/c heli/cars, but with a bit of ingenuity (changing the lamp lead plug) they can power up the lamp no probs, i get about 2 hrs intermittent lamping out of 1, 3 cell 11.1v 3.3 ah lipo, chargers start from around £15. To do it your way you would need to purchase 6.6 batteries so they do work out cheaper than the Deben 22ah but only by £9. I know what I would rather have. Can you link all 6.6 batteries together and charge them off 1 charger that is supplied with them ? very doubtfull as the charger probably wouldnt put enough current through. So after buying a suitable charger they would more than likely work out more expensive. :( Edited May 7, 2012 by Luckyshot

bullet boy
I sure we can agree that the lithium is the best option would be nice to see the deben come down in price though. I have bought cheap Chinese batteries and waiting to have my friend re-wire them. But I do think the deben is the best setup. Good kit dont come cheap mate.As i said before-These are a MUST for all serious Lampers. Hope you can pick one up mate as they are unbelievable! They are worth every penny IMO!
