Big Dog
First has this forum been down for the past week or so?? I have been unable to access it?? Well guy the time has come. Last week my dealer contacted me to say the PSNI had requested the serial numbers for my chosen guns. The line up is this: 1. Pro-Hunter Mountian Mk2 (20" barrel) (The MK2 has a reinforced forend which I feel is required) 2. T8 AR Reflex Mod' (AR lighter and a bit smaller - good to .223) 3. Leopuld VX111 4.5x14x50 Duplex (Mail order - Percision Shooting) 4. Second hand Beretta 391 semi - wood (Bit of damage to stock but was considerablly lighter than the CAMO version; which was cheaper and in mint con'; but I want it for coying lot of kit) So all I can do now is wait on the FAC and stuff arriving. Hope to have it all for weekend. 7 month to the day from I posted the FAC of to the dealer contacted me.

dunganick
http://www.jacksonrifles.com/ should be able to help you with the T8 What model Cooper are you getting. They are lovely looking rifles and shoot amazingly if their test groups are anything to go by. I would have had the LVT like below with a wood upgrade if i had the money. Unfortuantly they are not cheap once imported to this country, as im sure your well aware make sure to stick some pictures up once you get it. What callibre will it be chambered in? Big Dog
stirky my dealer told me about it and then I phone Jackson Rifles; Nick's post (above) has their www. The std T8 is about 670g and the T8 AR is 490g. A T4 AR 410g. Some difference in weight Ya your right about the shopping list, I guess the long delay in the FAC re-granting is it gave me a chance to save up more ££s. I feel a bit guilty about the money but hopefully I will get over it

hawkeye
Big Dog i would be interested to know how you rate the T8AR mod as i am just filling in my variation forms to add a centre fire either a 222 or 223 dont know which one to go for yet. Have looked at the Tikka lite in 223 and quite liked it but not made mind up yet ...
Big Dog
hawkeye You will not be sorry buying a Tikka T3. For me it was down to between the T3 s/lite and the Steyr Pro-Hunter Mountian Mk2. I think both are very good riffles and really just comes down to personal choice. What put me of the Steyr for a while was the standard Pro-Hunter, the synth' stock was way to flimsy at the forend. You could gently pust it against the barrel. The Mk2 version has tried to address this by putting some extra cross strips in the fore end to add rigittity. I was going to go for the T3 but on Friday when I went to do the business side; costing etc. The T3 was going to cost me £700 for the S/lite plus about £180 to get it screwed and proofed (£880). The Steyr P/H/M comes, if you order it, factory screwed total £730. That a £150 of difference. In .222 both should group in the 1/4" to 1/2" @ 100m What was pushing me towards the T3 was the barrel is a bit heavier than the P/H; may have given me a couple more tight shot at the range before opening up a bit. However the P/H/M had a 20" barrel and single set trigger. The T8AR will add 4". So 24" barrel over which is great for moving around in fields and cars etc Calibre: I had to go .222. The .223 is good to

The .223 is good to Thanks for that BG the tikka i looked at was only just over £500 that was a 223 seems it was a good price if you were quoted £

Big Dog
hawkeye Sorry M8 I can't tell you yet. This FAC thing is a joke over here. I bought all my kit and the dealer faxed the serial numbers to the FAC L/department while I was standing with him, that was Friday 28th July at 1430hrs. I called the FAC L/department yesterday, as you can guess, I have been waiting everyday to get the FAC back so as to pick up my kit; they said it was all there but would be done in a couple of days. What the **** !!!! I go on holidays on Friday so won't get picking it up now until I get back. I have a weding on the 26th so I am seriously P***** Phone Jackson Rifles - The T8AR was designed for 22s up to .223. It has 8 baffles and has the same dB reduction or maybe slightly better than the std T8. Thats what counts M8 the dB reduction. If they say it is the same or better then it must be = to the std T8. The way things are going here, you will be advising me . Sorry I am not more help at this stage but be assured as soon as I try it out I will let you guys know. This means that it is going to be 8 month since I sent my FAC in until I get it back  That is not fair in my book. I would like to change my air rifle but just am not entring that process again for a while.
