andy198712
Well this is my first permission, its the farmland around my house so absolutely ideal!! i had a wonder the other day and saw quite a bit. todays sightings were: Corvids Pigeon Magpie Rabbit (saw a black one too!) Fox cubs! and here's what i shot.... My First shot and my first ever corvid Two rabbits, both about 15 feet of each other and about 30 seconds apart so two rabbits and a crow with the shotgun. i then fancied a change and tried some other fields with my air rifle stalked this from about 30-40 yards down to 10 yards, dropped like a stone, my first rabbit with an air rifle too! also shot a young crow but it landed in the nest which was a shame. later on with the air rifle i saw plenty more rabbits but my stalking isnt great and not helped by lack of cammo! saw my first black bunny also! never seen one down here. following this i thought i saw a cat, looked through the scope and it was a fox cub!! typical i have my air rifle! watched it for a while and it disappeared.... only to re apear with about 3 mates! sod watching this, went back to get the shotgun, come back and lay out some rabbit for them, squeek them but they dont seem to care, ones comes over the hedge and is about 30 yards away, probably fine with my 36g BB carts i had in the gun but i'm kinda new to shooting and wanted it closer to get a solid kill. it wondered back off.... but i know where they live :yp: , called it a day shortly after. a great few hours spent on a permissions that seems like it not been shot for years! full of rabbits and apparently foxes! cheers Edited May 26, 2012 by andy198712
