Thunderbird
Was watching your video this morning and my little four year old son asked me what I was watching so I told him. He's been asking to try 'pigeon meat' (and to go pigeon hunting) recently so I thought 'in for a penny'. He found the video fascinating and then asked, you guessed it, 'will you shoot a deer daddy so we can do that and have some tasty deer meat?' To say I glowed is an understatement. yds
Out of interest what make is the knife , or who sells them ? What type of knife would you recommend for skinning ? Thanks , Rob. seeland catalouge.Ragill supplies got mine in for me. my knife is a Muley its no.4 on here. http://www.elenhunting.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=EHOS&Product_Code=RS&Category_Code=K Is sharp, stays sharp even when hits bone can gralloch 3 deer before 6 strokes on a steel bring it back to a razor. Fantastic, would argue its better then ANY knife i've seen, even custom knives costing £400 The blade profile is great for sticking, &rse holes and the atlas joint. And its STAINLESS and dishwasher proof. The blade is available in different handles though i liked the antller scales. Thunderbird
well done. Cheers. In fact I'm a bit laid up today with a bad back and we've been watching some pigeon shooting and deer stalking on You Tube and he's fascinated. Made me promise to 'share' the meat with him. Need to get out and pop a couple of pigeons ASAP and get the ball rolling. Dead proud of that boy.

Dunkield
For those wanting more information on gralloching and inspection (to DSC2 standard) you could do worse than get the BDS DVD http://www.bds.org.uk/DVDCDF40 Yes, you will have to part with money but you will own it and can watch it as many times as you need. And no, I am not and agent for the BDS...
