Thunderbird
Anyone catch and eat garden snails? I've had escargot loads of times in the French style, basically in loads of garlic butter in those little sunken dishes, mopped up by bread, lovely. Just wondered if anyone does it? hendersons
It's been known for me to collect them. If you do don't forget to purge them. I braise mine and then serve them as part of a dish. They go surprisingly well with fish
Thunderbird
Sounds good. I read somewhere to purge them you feed them carrot and wait till their poo goes orange. How long do you braise them for Nick?
rimfire4969
I have in the past collected and eaten them, i like them with plenty of garlic butter or in a tomato sauce. Make sure you purge them and get them from somewhere where you know the ground is free from slug pellets and other pesticides.
