Kes
I find evening/night calling works best for me as it feels safer and more productive. Also its easier to get into bed than out of it ! Whats your preference and which time shows most foxes?
Grandalf
Evening for cubs. (Light summer evenings mean they get bored in the den and start to move about in daylight). Morning for adults. Easiest at evening due being able to get into position in daylight therefore causing less disturbance. Then there is that sleep thing - Mine! kent
I dont know when i have killed most but suspect it might be at first light and just after with the rifle. mainly due to Deer stalking then. with the shotgun its cetainly at night lamping, but then again thats due to time spent in the past hunting them that way. I should seriously like to try some of this new top of the range NV stuff though cannot justify the cost without being paid to do it. if you wanna kill serious amounts of foxes little beats the snares IMO on numbers
gixer1
Dusk, usually from a high seat although lamping (after midnight i find) can usually produce a few shot... Regards, Gixer
bornfree
Around here its between 12 and 3am which is annoying as it wrecks your sleep. bornfree
