digit
I've had a few new permissions lately on golf coarses shooting rabbits and the last thing i want to do is leave some empty shells behind and using a Ruger 10/22 it throws the shell everywhere, so i had a go at making a brass catcher that fits on to the dove tail rail and i put it on a hinge so i can lift the bag up to empty it.Tried it out today and it works a treat

digit
Here's a few more pics. I used a 3mm welding rod to make the wire frame and put a mesh bag over it and super glued the seam.I had an old scope mount that i cut the bottom off so i could mount it onto the scope rail. bedwards1966
It's very nice, but surely on a semi it's stopping you from operating the bolt manually?

You can lift the bag up because its on a hinge, you can then operate the bolt manually and the bag drops back into place.

I see, I saw that as being problematic from a safety angle, but now I see the bolt is still workable. It does look a handy device, it'd be useful for catching brass for reloading as it's so easy to lose.

Bewsher500
loved this idea so much I had to go and make it NOW! couldn't find a mesh bag, so I "borrowed" the bag that some swimming goggles came in Didnt like the permanent attachment idea and had some 2kg pull magnets left over from my stalking stick build. Plastic coated coathanger and some black thread/electrical tape couple of trial bendings and I came up with the one that looked and worked the best Ingredients: coat hanger mesh bag (in my case a bag that some googles came in) 2 magnets (left over from my shooting sticks build black tape/black thread Bend frame, thread through bag where drawstring was, slip in magnets, stitch into place, attach. have since pulled the bag in at the base so it doesnt stick out as much Wire frame with extended tips to hold bag open "borrowed" Goggle Bag 2x 2kg magnets semi finished bag bag on rifle in use (one handed bolt cycling is tricky with the rifle skitting around on the sideboard!) digit
Looks great, how have you fixed it to the rifle? I'm on the mark 2 model now,I've put Velcro on the bottom of the bag to make it easier to empty the shells out.
