ayano3
Have any of you purchased one of the said chokes? A friend I shoot with has just got one and the guy who sells them said they were wonderful etc. These are supposed to give good patterns at longer range and are specially designed for the foreshore. He paid £92 for this choke, that seems an awful lot of money to me. Anyone use them or anyone have any opinions. I have seen reviews on a site and I think you have to be a bloody good shot to take birds at the ranges they were talking about even with something that costs a tidy sum. Looking forward to your thoughts before I start saving !
UK fowler
I use the wad wizzard in 12g and 10g which are the same wadstripper design .Do i rate them? there a very ammo fusy choke they work best with large shot sizes and ammo that is not to fast (nitro steel BBB work well in 31/2"12g) go to there web site and filter through the BS and 90quid :o I would see how your mate gets on with his before shelling out you can get a stainless briely choke for around £35 which are good with steel shot the IMP MOD can throw good patterns at long range Edited June 17, 2012 by UK fowler

Looking forward to your thoughts before I start saving ! I am on patternmaster , i have the long range duck and goose chokes , i have been doing some pigeon shooting with the duck choke and getting some great kills out to 50 + yards with just 36g steel loads , i have also tried 3" 3/12 " on pigeons which was far far to much over kill for them ,i have also tried them claying and let some friends try with them and again good kills at distance with both chokes .. they reduce the shot string by 70% , so , so far so good , roll on the season i say so i can put them to the real test but there cracking on pigeons ..... i have taken some photo's.... aya if you want to have a look give me a call you have my number and we can meet up .. edited to say i now have a head cam , so when my son learns me how to use it i will get some footage of me shooting pigeons with the patternmaster chokes ....
