Steve72
Hi, what is the procedure for sending a gun via a rfd and generally what would be the cost involved? If a gun is purchased from a private seller I assume both rfds would expect a fee.?Does the buyer pick up the cost for both.? Do I pay the seller directly before the gun is sent ? Sorry if this is a stupid question.
brian28
Most charge £25 each end, so £50 and buyer pays
Fisheruk
Most charge £25 each end, so £50 and buyer pays From my RFD it is £25 fee, £20 Carriage inc insurance and whatever the charge is at the receiver's end, usually £25. £70ish and the buyer pays. Steve72
Ok thanks for replies looking at 3 project air rifles from same private seller, all non fac. Could they be sent by courier directly to me. And if I do have to use rfd will I be charged per rifle?
Livefast123
Non FAC air rifles can be sent via Royal Mail, no need for RFD nonsense. You'll have to be careful with couriers though as most don't cover the carriage of guns. Edited June 21, 2012 by Livefast123
