scotland rifles Posted July 3, 2012 Report Share Posted July 3, 2012 00 wire wool on the tip of a cotton bud, thick'ish oil with a rust inhibitor in it, mind the bluing, and always use a cloth to hold the barrel with when you touch the rifle last before you lock/pack it away,as the oil/fat from your fingers will over time mark the barrel too. i just have a nice cloth in the cabinet that i wipe the rifle barrel with as i leave it there before i lock the cabinet. bob.
