Wookie
I've just come back from a week in Berlin (great place, highly recommend people to go there) and thought people might be interested to hear about the raptor strike I saw in the middle of a park near the Reichstag. The GF and I were walking along minding our own business and commenting on the large numbers of crows/magpies around when this blur hit one at great speed. Cue lots of squeaks from the crow as this very big bird of prey (Falcon/hawk, I don't know) drags it off to a tree and covers it over with its wings. The magpie's mates soon show up and try to chase it away, but it was poeple trying to get in close to take phots that finally made it move. The photo's rubbish as I only had a wide angle lense with me, next time I'll take something better! Wookie
RobF
Stunning pic mate. It looks like a Goshawk to me, had a great view of one today while out with the dogs, the crows didn't like it one little bit. Rob

It looks like a Goshawk to me, Rob I`ve seen a lot of FERAL pigeon taken near a derelict church in our city centre by our local spuggy population, which is IMHO a good thing
