bakerboy
All quiet on the Crayfish front??? Any good catches of late gents? Hi Rob Good catches on a regular basis . The waters are nice and warm and the Crayfish are plentiful. Stubby had a good catch the other day, on average you are looking at 100 plus and hour with 4 nets. I hope you are well, and keeping up with this lenghty stay without being banned

I got the fixers to weld me up some 12mm x 500 dia hoops that I'm making some nets out of. Hoping to try out a new technique and beat a few of you fine chaps on you're own turf. Bleeh
Still waiting for my license's to drop through the post, such be any day now. And no matter what people say, I've inquired and you still need licenses to use drop nets.
hendersons
I didn't think drop nets fitted in with the guide lines of the licence? Do they still give you tags to put on them so you can use them?
bakerboy
You get tags from the Eviromental agency. tell them what stretch of water you wish to fish and away you go, i think they last 3 years. The do you don't you debate has run it's course.
Thunderbird
I was chatting to a bloke at the weekend who recons there are a lot in a stretch not that far from where we had last years camp.

Thunderbird
Fancy a 'summer' crayfishing trip? I think we ought to do some next year if the season is right?
bakerboy
The water might be a bit on the cool side when we have the Cotswold meet. Come up with some dates and I could be on for a visit. I keep promising my wife a meal at "Alium" I could probably make a weekend or overnight midweek trip , so pretty keen.
Thunderbird
Reckon we could fit in a few things one weekend if people are up for it. Nick did post a while back about a seaside foray but that might best best tackled on a different occasion. Let me know if you're coming to Allium as I reckon a handful of people would be up for meeting up for a picnic and a bit of crayfishing.
