Richard V
Hello all, My SGC should arrive next week (the FEO did say it will arrive in 2 weeks 2 weeks ago on Monday) so eventually I hope to buy a shotgun for clays. Since trying to change anything comming from the EUSSR EU is hopeless, banning lead shot being no exception, should I go asking any seller if the gun is steel proofed? Should I ask for proof that the gun is proofed? Appologies if this question is obvious, but I'm fairly brand new to this and I don't want a useless gun when the illigitimate government gets their way. Many thanks Richard Edited August 4, 2012 by Richard V
Albert 888
A lot of the newer guns are steel proof and should carry a stamp on the barrel of a fleur de lys (french for lily). You may aswell get a steel proof gun as you never no what will happen. HDAV
IMO its worth buying steel proof just incase, plenty of guns aren't in fact the vast majority aren't and there are alternatives but steel is cheaper

HDAV
OU word of caution which is budget dependant is a new budget steel proofed gun vs a good solid none steel proofed gun of your only going to shoot clays it's not a big deal, but for wildfowl steel proof and 3" chambers is pretty essential
